Sunny and Blossom are seperated from Ahi after they're ambushed and attacked a Guardian group. Knowing they won't survive long on their own, Sunny and Blossom flee from the city and venture into the forest.

Sunny and Blossom stumble across Chester in his cabin and are informed by him about the closeby clans. They decide that, for their saftey, they'll try staying with one of them.

Sunny and Blossom are taken in by ThunderClan.

Sunny and Blossom go hunting, they go back to camp. She asks if Pinepaw hates her.

That night Sunny has a nightmare about being separated from her brother and meeting Ahi. She wakes up and promises she'll always protect Blossomdawn like Ahi had done for her.

BloodClan attacks ShadowClan's camp, resulting in a large majority of the clan being injured and Softwing being killed.

Sunny joins Ridgefang, Maplebriar, Mistlefang, and Pinepaw. They notice something's definitely up with ShadowClan. Pinepaw hisses at her as they head back to camp.

That night Sunny has another nightmare about first meeting Blossom and the death of her parents.

Sunny wakes up from her nightmare and goes to train with the apprentices and their mentors. Firestrike, Stormrush, and Redfrost go missing while out on patrol.

Training is called off early as Morningstar sends the mentor group to go out and search for the missing patrol cats. They eventually find the patrol and return them to camp; Firestrike is dead and Stormrush and Redfrost are injured.

Sunny and Blossom realize that the patrol was likely attacked by BloodClan, which they inform Ridgefang about. ThunderClan begins to accuse Sunny and Blossom of being traitors after they learn of BloodClan's involvement.

Stormrush decides to retire to the elders' den due to his intense injuries, Nightsong, Rainstone, and Palefur decide to retire as well to join him.

Ridgefang formally requests that Sunny and Blossom permanantly join ThunderClan, after moons of suggesting the idea.

That night, Sunny has her third and final nightmare, which details how she and Blossom were separated from Ahi

Sunny and Blossom agree to Ridgefang's request, deciding to officially join as ThunderClan apprentices.

Sunpaw and Blossompaw are apprenticed to Coppershine and Mistlefang in ThunderClan.

Coppershine and Mistlefang take Sunpaw and Blossompaw out training for the first time.

The ThunderClan apprentices go out hunting together; Blossompaw, Finchpaw, and Specklepaw in one group, Blackpaw, Pinepaw, and Sunpaw in the other.

Sunpaw and Pinepaw get into a fight while out on patrol, which is broken up by Blackpaw.

Maplebriar, having gone out alone (which was against the rules to protect the cats from a potential attack), is attacked and killed by a BloodClan patrol. Blackpaw, Sunpaw, and Pinepaw discover her and try to save her, but she dies before they can provide any medical attention.

After returning to camp with Maplebriar's body, Morningstar frantically declares war on BloodClan for murderering both her mate and daughter.

That night, Blackpaw, Pinepaw, and Finchpaw are promised their warrior names after the battle tomorrow.

ThunderClan goes to battle against the BloodClan attackers, succesfully chasing them off.

Sunpaw talks with Coppershine while the clan is gone, learning about her mentors past and is given advice from her.

Blackpaw is killed during the battle, but is honored with the warrior name Blackspark.

Finchflight and Pinemoon recieve their warrior names.

Pinemoon finally talks to Sunpaw, opening up about why she was so angry and rude to her; the truth being, that Pinemoon is also from BloodClan, like Sunpaw and Blossompaw are. The two agree that they can work on becoming acquaintances.

Specklebriar journeys to the Moonpool wtih Crowfrost to recieve her full name, becoming a healer.

Sunpaw and Blossompaw are invited to their first gathering.

Sunpaw meets and talks with the ShadowClan warrior, Tawnyheart, while Blossompaw talks with Thornstrike from WindClan.

At the gathering, Sunpaw and Blossompaw discover that Ahi is still alive and is now a WindClan warrior named Brightshade.

That night, Sunpaw has a dream about her brother, Charcoal.

Sunpaw, after talking with Specklebriar, decides to venture out on her own to find Charcoal. Despite her protests, Blossompaw tags along.

Sunpaw and Blossompaw arrive in BloodClan, but Sunpaw is unable to handle stepping back into the city. As a compromise for having gone so far from their new home, they decide to check the twolegplace. They luck out and are able to track down Charcoal, who is now a kittypet named Freddy.

Sunpaw and Blossompaw return to ThunderClan and are punished by Morningstar and Ridgefang for leaving with out even bothering to ask for permission. Morningstar punishes them by delaying their warrior ceremony a full moon.

That night, Sunwish and Blossomdawn are named ThunderClan warriors.
